Say “I Do,” with your toes in the sand in Jamaica, on a cliff overlooking turquoise waters in Antigua or in a charming chapel in sunny Mexico. Celebrate your “I Do’s” with a personalized reception. From a simple dinner party to a lavish reception, resorts offer many customizable wedding packages to fit any budget.
Planning your Dream Wedding
Decide on a wedding budget. Take into account your current savings, how much you plan to save in the next few months and anything your parents might contribute.
Choose a Travel Agent. They are trained to guide and support you.
Choose a wedding location. With such a variety of locations and venues to choose from, let your Travel Agent help you determine the best location for you, taking into account what you are looking for, your style, and your budget.
Look into marriage license requirements. There are 2 types on destination weddings, Symbolic and legal. A legal wedding in another country requires a bit more time & paperwork. A symbolic ceremony is a bit easier. With a symbolic ceremony, you are getting married by a Justice of the Peace or a Judge in your hometown and having the ceremony at the location of your dreams. Keep in mind, no guest of ours will know the difference. The ceremony is the same. To make sure that you have all your ducks in a row, talk with the wedding coordinator at the resort you are getting married and contact your city or town clerk’s office who will direct you to the right information.
Put together a wedding guest list. Who do you want to share in your special day? Do you want it just to be the two of you or would you like to have family and friends?
Obtain necessary legal documents. Including passports, divorce certificates, visas, identification, birth certificates, notarized declarations of never having been married.
Allow time to plan. Give your guests time to plan this as well.
