New York City – I Love This Place

Not to rant solely on the endless indulgences of big cities, but to rant on a bit more, New York City is so worth indulging in. I have no problem hopping on a quick flight for a long weekend and dropping a few on some great food, amazing conversations, and culture that is hard to beat.

New York City Views

Let’s start by taking a stroll down Lexington Ave and make your way to the top of the Chrysler Building for what is an absolutely breathtaking view. Next, and I absolutely recommend this heart-pounding adventure, grab a cab and take a “scenic” ride to Central Park.

Prior to entering the Park, which I suggest you do well before sunset, grab a bite to eat from one of the countless street vendors. I often go for a hot dog, lighter fair, as I want to save my appetite for dinner.

The 21 Club New York City

This is a must experience. The cuisine is amazing, the service outstanding, and the atmosphere cannot be beaten. This venue is not going to have you leaving hungry in the slightest. Appetizers are plentiful – I recommend the Portabello Mushrooms – to die for – the menu is, of course, subject change. The Filet Mignon was cooked to perfection. And dessert, I will never pass on NY Style Cheesecake, but there are other options if you should so choose.

Once again, the experience is amazing as is the food. The price point is going to fall into the High category. Personally, I would not recommend this for a night on the town with the kiddos. However, depending on the experience level of the travelers, this may be just fine.
